In the historic land of Guelmim, Morocco, Shajada Sayeed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani Wal hossaini Al Maizbhandari attended the ‘Tenth Annual Conference on Tasawwuf’. He was accompanied by his son Sayeed Mashuk Mainuddin. The main topic of discussion throughout the conference was regarding the impact of Sufi Tariqas in shaping the modern community. To help strengthen their respective countries. On the 18th of May , Sayeed Saifuddin Ahmed spoke on the importance of highlighting Sufi Sheikhs like Sheikh Ma El Eynin under whose supervision Morocco achieved its freedom. He urged the Sufis of the world to follow suit, to come out from their Zawiyas/Khankas and partake in social and civil issues. On the 19th, The Imam of Maizbhandar Tariqa, participated in general debate with other Sheikhs on the importance of Tasawwuf in the modern day. To spark the embers within the youth to fight for their rights and freedom. Later on he was awarded with the honorary doctorate degree from the ‘International Academy of Sufi Scholars’ situated in the United Kingdom. He received his degree on his book The essence of Tasawwuf. In his book he upholds the traditions of Qadiriya Maizbhandariya Tariqa, the journey of a man through the path of Tariqa towards All Mighty Allah. The essence of Tasawwuf expands on the spiritual path from the beginning till the end. The necessity of being in the company of a righteous Sheikh to receive the Sabak of Ilm-e-Tasawwuf. After his lecture, the Scholars and intellectuals of the conference welcomed Sayed Saifuddin into the Academy. The Sheikh will now initiate an academy of scholars in Bangladesh. Also ‘Sheikh Ma Al Aynyn Foundation for Science & Heritage’ (Morocco), ‘Organisation of Tolerance & Peace’ (Egypt) gave him special honorary memento for his contribution in the field of Tasawwuf.
